Shubhra Gupta was born on June 7 at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA. She obtained her BS degree in Physics and Mathematics and Masters degree in Mathematics from University of Kanpur. She obtained her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Mathematics and Science form University of Kanpur. She taught Mathematics and Science upto secondary and post secondary level at various colleges and graduate colleges in India. She obtained her professional Masters degree in computational biosciences from Arizona State University, USA. Her research interest includes number theory and its applications, computational molecular biology, computer science and mathematics.
